Logo Emoji QR

Brand recognition belongs in the composition. A logo overlay is an optional design decision.

KEEP THE LOGO. PROTECT THE SCAN. — illustrated Emoji QR Lab card

Place the brand mark above or beside the code first. This keeps branding visible without covering the pattern. Use consistent alignment and spacing so the result looks intentional. Review whether an overlay would genuinely improve the communication or merely make the code more elaborate.

Simplify the mark with permission

A detailed logo may lose clarity when reduced. Ask the brand owner whether a symbol-only or compact variation is approved. Do not compress lettering or remove important elements without review. The code panel, instruction, and brand mark should each remain recognizable at the final size.

Evaluate the complete overlay footprint

When considering a centered mark, account for its backing as well as the visible logo. Error-correction percentages are not a guaranteed percentage of image area that can be hidden. Use a capable external QR workflow, preserve a reference code, and test the exact final export rather than relying on a high-correction label.

Keep approval attached to the asset

Record which logo variation, destination, and code size were approved. Retest when the overlay or pattern changes. A later brand refresh can alter the balance and footprint of the mark, so do not assume an old scan result applies automatically to a new identity file.

Choose recognition over decoration

If the integrated version struggles, return to the adjacent-logo composition. A familiar mark, clear instruction, and readable code can still feel distinctly branded. The goal is a useful bridge to the destination, not an overlay at any cost.
